Welcome to STAR Skateboarding. By booking lessons, purchasing products, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
Services
STAR Skateboarding provides:
- Private skateboard lessons
- Small group lessons
- Skateboarding instruction
- Equipment rentals
- Lesson packages
- Promotional programs
- Other educational skateboarding services
Services are offered throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
Participant Requirements
Participants should:
- Wear appropriate athletic clothing.
- Wear closed-toe shoes.
- Arrive on time.
- Follow instructor directions.
Helmet use is required.
Minors
Participants under 18 years old must:
- have a parent or legal guardian complete the required waiver,
- receive permission before participating.
Assumption of Risk
Skateboarding is an action sport that involves inherent risks, including falls, collisions, and serious injury.
By participating, customers acknowledge these risks and agree to participate voluntarily.
Waiver Requirement
All participants must complete STAR Skateboarding's liability waiver before participating in any lesson.
Failure to complete the waiver may result in cancellation of the lesson.
Safety
The instructor reserves the right to:
- stop a lesson,
- modify activities,
- relocate instruction,
- or end a session
if conditions become unsafe or if a participant behaves in a manner that creates a safety risk.
Weather
Lessons may be postponed due to unsafe weather conditions.
STAR Skateboarding will make reasonable efforts to notify participants as early as possible.
Payments
Payment is required before the scheduled lesson unless otherwise agreed.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
Intellectual Property
All website content, including photographs, graphics, logos, lesson descriptions, and educational materials, is the property of STAR Skateboarding and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Promotional Photography
With your permission, photographs or videos taken during lessons may be used for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes.
Participants may opt out by notifying STAR Skateboarding before their lesson.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, STAR Skateboarding shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in lessons or use of this website.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes
STAR Skateboarding reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
